Herbal tea, is any drink made from the infusion or preparation of herbs, spices, or other plant material in hot water, and typically does not contain caffeine. These beverages are distinguished from true teas (black, green, white, yellow, oolong, and so on, which are prepared from the treated leaves of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis), in addition to from decaffeinated tea, in which the caffeine has been gotten rid of. In many nations, the word 'tea' may just be used for leaves of Camellia sinensis and for that reason the expression 'herbal tea' is an oxymoron and can not be used. These beverages are therefore labelled infusion or tisane.
